Featured Authors at RomCon ™ 2010

Autumn Piper

Blythe Gifford is the author of five medieval romances for the Harlequin Historical line, including IN THE MASTER'S BED, a Readers Crown finalist. The Chicago Tribune has called her work "the perfect balance between history and romance." She specializes in characters born on the wrong side of the royal blanket and loves to have visitors.

Brenda Jackson's professional writing career began in 1995 with the release of her first book, Tonight and Forever.  Since then she has written over 70 titles, which includes a made-for-television movie by BET.  She has received numerous national and literary awards and has made many trail-blazing accomplishments, which includes being the first African-American author to make the New York Times Bestseller’s List and the USA Today's Bestseller's List in the romance genre.

Bridget Midway: Don't let the 1940's-sounding name fool you! Though she may sound sweet, Bridget Midway writes what everyone else fantasizes about. An avid writer for all things fun, unusual and passionate, she enjoys making her readers laugh as much as she likes seeing them fan themselves down after reading a hot, sexy scene. She writes long contemporary romance, single-title romance, some light paranormal romances, science fiction, and erotica, all with multi-racial characters and/or with interracial romances (because when you have a box of chocolates, you have to taste each one and enjoy the differences). She was a finalist for the title of Sexiest Fiction Writer sponsored by BetterSex.com. Visit her online at www.BridgetMidway.com.

Carolyn Crane is the author of the 'Justine Jones: disillusionist' urban fantasy trilogy. Book #1, Mind Games, came out this past March, and book #2, Double Cross, hits the shelves in September. Carolyn lives in Minneapolis with her husband and two daring cats, and she’s a big fan of plotty puzzles, psychological intrigue, and spicy food.

Carrie Vaughn (That's me!) is the bestselling author of a series of novels about a werewolf named Kitty, as well as numerous short stories in various anthologies and magazines. She's also a contributor to the Wild Cards series edited by George R. R. Martin.

Stick around because Carrie is always working on something new.

Catherine Anderson lives in the pristine woodlands of Central Oregon.  She is married to her high school sweetheart, Sid, and is the author of over thirty bestselling and award winning historical and contemporary romances.  Her books have been translated in many different languages and are sold worldwide.  Readers often say, “She makes me laugh, she makes me cry, and I don’t want her stories to end.”

USA Today bestselling author Cathy Clamp writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance both with co-author C.T. Adams and as their new pen name Cat Adams for Tor Books. A former Colorado native, their series include Tales of the Sazi, The Thrall and the upcoming Blood Singer. They're proud recipients of numerous writing awards, including the Book Buyers Best Award, Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award, Write Touch Readers Award and most recently, the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award.

Celeste Bradley

Hi, my name is Celeste Bradley and I write "brain chocolate." That is, I write fun and sexy escapism is for hardworking women everywhere. We deserve a little man-candy, too!

Reviewers like to say I write about misfit heroines getting the man of their dreams. Maybe that's true, but don't we all feel like misfits sometimes? Even if the rest of the world thinks we have all our balls in the air, aren't we juggling like mad on the inside, desperately trying not to drop one?

I'm the kind of woman who never truly has a clean house (not all at once!), who can't seem to have Christmas projects finished by Dec 25, who is stunned by how fast weeds can take over a perfectly well-behaved garden, who is mystified by high-altitude baking rules, who doesn't quite get the kids to the dentist appointment on time...well, you get the picture. Rather than having all my ducklings in a row, I just try to make sure none of the rotten little rebels are playing in the middle of the street!

I love this manic, scattered life I lead. I love to write, craft, garden, bake and mother, even if I don't always do it all perfectly

Cindi Myers became the most popular person in eighth grade when she and a friend wrote a torrid historical romance that was passed around the whole class. The manuscript was eventually confiscated by her English teacher, who advised her to focus on learning to properly diagram a sentence. Cindi went on to become a newspaper reporter and write nonfiction for magazines ranging from Modern Bride to Popular Mechanics. But she never lost the fiction bug and in 1997 sold her first novel. Since then she's written and sold 40 romance and women's fiction novels. She's a former Rita nominee and was the 2005 Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Writer of the Year.
